Terrasse à Sainte-Adresse is a painting by the impressionist painter Claude Monet (莫奈).
Monet spent the summer of 1867 at the resort town of Sainte-Adresse on the English Channel. It was there, in a garden with a view of Honfleur on the horizon, that he painted this picture, which combines smooth, traditionally rendered areas with sparkling passages of rapid, separate brushwork, and spots of pure colour.
The models were probably Monet's father, Adolphe, in the foreground, Monet' cousin Jeanne Marguérite Lecadre at the fence; Dr. Adolphe Lecadre, her father; and perhaps Lecadre's other daughter, Sophie, the woman seated with her back to the viewer. 第一次世界大战（简称一战）初 1914年8月3日，德军对比利时不宣而战。8月9日，德军成功攻占比利时全境大部分，驱逐比利时境内的法军回法国境内。1914年10月至1918年11月，比利时流亡政府建立在法国圣阿德莱斯。

During World War I, Sainte-Adresse was the administrative capital of Belgium. The Belgian government in exile was installed from October 1914 to November 1918 in the Dufayel building, named after the businessman who had built it in 1911. 比利时国王阿尔贝一世（Albert I，1875年4月8日－1934年2月17日，1909年~1934年在位）。在他死后法国圣阿德莱斯的阿尔贝一世纪念碑1938年9月4日竖立时纪念邮戳(法国)在比利时邮票上。
