埃尔顿·塞纳（Ayrton Senna da Silva,1960年3月21日—1994年5月1日），出生于巴西圣保罗，4岁开始开卡丁车，13岁开始参加卡丁车赛，1984开始F1生涯，曾三次取得F1年度总冠军，被称为“车神”，1994年5月1日，在圣马力诺大奖赛上意外丧生。

今年是塞纳逝世20周年。拥有悠久F1赛车传统的摩纳哥曾于2010年发行塞纳诞辰50周年纪念邮票。塞纳曾在摩纳哥的蒙地卡罗（蒙特卡洛）街道赛道五次夺冠，该纪录至今无人能破。摩纳哥今年本人利用这枚邮票和1989年迈凯轮车队的明信片制作了一枚极限片，销赛道原地蒙地卡罗邮局日戳。

谁是真正的《车神》?   谁是最伟大的F1赛车手?
很难回答，因为很难比较不同时代的F1赛车手。
很难回答，因为成功的F1赛车手 需要许多队员，设计师，工程师，技术员，等等的支持。
以世界冠军的数目排名，七冠王 Michael Schumacher 排名第一。五冠王 Juan Manuel Fangio 排名第二。三冠王塞纳 (Ayrton Senna) 排名第五 (五人共列)。
以F1赛勝率排名, Juan Manuel Fangio 排名第一 。他在52場大獎賽中贏得其中的24場（ F1赛勝率 = 46%)。英年早逝二冠王Jim Clark F1赛勝率34%排名第三。塞纳 (Ayrton Senna) 排名第五 (两人共列)。

Only best 11 results counted toward the championship. Prost scored 105 points during the year, but only 87 points were counted toward the championship. Senna scored 94 points, with 90 points counted toward the championship by virtue of winning more races. Thus, Senna became the World Champion, although he did not score the most points over the course of the year.

塞纳比舒马赫更受欢迎 因为 Schumacher won his first title in 1994 amid dubious circumstances after crashing into Damon Hill, preventing the Briton from winning the championship. In 1997, he was expunged from the official records after doing the same to Jacques Villeneuve and who can forget, even near the end of his career, how he parked his Ferrari across the track at Monaco to prevent Fernando Alonso taking pole. Utterly ruthless, some may say a downright cheat. It is a shadow that will fall long across a truly great career from a truly extraordinary sportsman. We will never know whether Senna would have overcome Schumacher in what could have been one of the most fascinating battles in the history of Formula One.
